Work at Home Jobs!
This page is for people who want to work from home with a "job" and not a home business. With a home business, there are start up costs as you need to pay for business supplies. However, you income is based on your performance and not your hourly performance.
One of the most flexible work at home jobs is with ChaCha. People simply text in their questions to ChaCha, and "Guides" answer the questions by finding a relevant website. You will be paid for each and every question that you answer. You can work 15 minutes, an hour or 3 hours, whatever time you have available. Plus, they work 24/7 so you can even work in the middle of the night! It's a great job if you are looking for flexibility. They do offer weekend bonuses periodically so you should always be on the lookout for those.
You will register and then you will have to take a few tests. You will also need to download Mozilla's Firefox if you don't have it already. That is what the Guide Console uses. The tests are pretty easy. The last test they give you, you will need to answer questions just as if you are a text guide. For example, it might ask you for the weather for a certain city. Search for the answer, copy and paste it and link the site to it. Sometimes people just ask questions and you can simply just find a site that is relevant and put your own answer.
You need to answer a minimum of 10 questions. Try to make sure you are not destracted, so you can do well on the test. Once you are accepted, you can start to work right away. We earn 10 cents per question we answer. If you complete 200 or more questions in a week (between Sun-Sat) and have an accuracy rate of 95% plus (which is easy), then they will change your rate to 20 cents per question. Plus, the more you do the easier it gets and the faster you get. You will find you get a lot of the same type questions so you will know where to find the answer.
They will ask for your SS#, simply because they must keep track of your earnings. If you earn more than $600 in a year, they must report that to the IRS and send you a 1099 since we are independent contractors. You can setup a once a month direct deposit payment to your checking account or open a debit card account at First Indiana Internet bank that they use. Then you can transfer your earnings whenever you want. I chose the debit card because I have bills to pay and needed the flexibility. I have used it so I know it works!
I like the flexibility as I can work 10 minutes or an hour or more at a time. If the questions are slow coming in, I can still check email, post ads, etc., as it will buzz me when I have a question to answer.
